  • Yesterday's trip to the opthomologist was another long day. Megan asked me in the morning if I would take her to her 1 o'clock appointment in Dayton, which I of course agreed to. We got to the hospital that had the doctor's offices in it, and we were kinda worried about how nasty the hospital was. We filled out some paper work, and then sat in the hallway for something like 2 hours. When the Dr started examining Megan's eye, he was asking her all kinds of questions about what was wrong with her. After finishing the exam, he said he couldn't find anything wrong with her, but he wanted her to have a MRI done to see if there was something wrong inside her brain. He also mentioned the possibility that it might be MS, which was a total bombshell to both Megan and I. The Dr went to call the neurologist to schedule an MRI and left Megan and I alone, and I did my bests to keep her spirits up, but I could tell that she was having a tough time with the news.

After we left the Dr's office, we went down the hall to have some blood work done. The nurse there took 3 vile's of Megan's blood, but fortunately I couldn't see it being done All in all, we were at the hospital about 3 hours.

Afterwards, we decided to drive down to Cinci to do some shopping and eat some food, cause we hadn't eaten a meal yet in the whole day. When we go to the mall, we looked for a hairstylist, because Megan wanted to get her hair cut. So we found one, and while the guy who cut her hair was nice, he was an absolute moron because he couldn't do the one thing that Megan asked him to do. Anyhow, Megan wasn't too happy with her hair after that, so we went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, and had a grand ol' time there, which was a great way to end the evening On the drive home, Megan talked to her family to fill them in on what had happened during the day, and her mom and sister are gonna drive up today to spend some time with Megan, which I'm really glad that they can do! Anyhow, I was glad I got to spend the day with Megan, even though it was an emotionally filled day.

  • So last night was kinda a fun night... I was talking to Megan around 1030, and she asked me if I would take her to the ER today because she had had blurry vision for two weeks, and about once a day her left hand and lower leg would tingle for about 20 minutes. So we said that we would go after classes today. (kinda funny planning a trip to the ER, but we did) Anyhow, about 15 minutes later, Megan called me and was like, hey... my mom wants me to go to the ER right now... so Megan, her RA, Susan, and I headed to Miami Valley Hospital... We got to the ER around 1130, and after about 10 minutes of explaining to the nurse what was wrong, we were taken into an exam room (1 of 73 exam rooms!!!) So for the next 3 hours the three of us sat in the exam room, as various doctors tried to figure out what was the cause of the symptoms. Megan also had a CT scan done during those 3 hours. It showed a small irregularity, but they weren't even sure if that was just something wrong with the CT machine. In the end, the Dr's couldn't figure out what was wrong, but they wanted her to see an eye doctors to see if there was something wrong with her eyes, and they also wanted her to have an MRI done to find out if the spot on the CT scan was anything to worry about. We finally got back to school around 3AM, and all of us were totally exhausted.

  • You Should Get a PhD in Science (like chemistry, math, or engineering)

You're both smart and innovative when it comes to ideas.

Maybe you'll find a cure for cancer - or develop the latest underground drug.

Good to know that I've been wasting my life on something that I shouldn't be doing... lol
